Please remember that as the adviser any advice given by you to your client, you are responsible for, you should be able to show that you have taken the appropriate steps whilst advising your clients to arrive at the best advice for them at that given moment in time. You will have provided them with an IDD and KFI and have proven their identity via legal documents and you are happy to recommend them for a mortgage after assessing their affordability.
